Bremer Bay

I was hoping for some info on Bremer bay as we may head down for a couple of days. Can anyone tell me what sort of fish we might encounter down there? Have 6m tub and are hoping to get offshore, have been told the bottom drops off quite quick. Will be taking some land based gear in case the wind picks up. Is there anything we need to be aware of? Any help would be great, as have not been there before. If anyone wants to share any "areas" that may hold fish offshore and land based it would be appreciated. Thanks for any help.

Bremer bay..
Mate, I fished Bremer a while back for a few days with the family, there are some serious Bull Herring within vicinity just out from the boat harbour launch...small slices (Lazers) are the go, fast retrieve will get em in (burly the water up first) ...also some very big squid around the moorings, we got a few on the jap import jigs (go the morone ones) that they love, but they are expensive...also some large skippy within the same spot...burly up, then go mad with the slices.....we used 2kg bass braid with the 10gm lazer slices on a fast/pause/fast retrieve; Magic! didnt use bait, no need too? c how you go!

Bremer
Depends on what you are after mate- there are plenty of small fish (herring and KG's) if you look around the bay. If you want to chase some bonito or the odd yellowtail troll around the cliffs. There is some good bottom fishing out deep if you manage to get out there.
