Broome tips and tricks

Off this weekend to Barnhill for two nights then onto Broome for ten days...taking the boat (4.5m centre console) any tips and tricks...not prepared to beach launch as I am not taking the old 60 series so will use local ramps...am aware of watching the tides...taking crab nets...just want a feed and some fun...either landbased or out on the water...

Barn hill is beach launch. Broome ramps dry out from half tide down. Had some great days fishing for blue bone off barn hill.

100 metres off Gantheume

100 metres off Gantheume Point is great bottom bashing mate. All really good structure along there, we caught bluebone, coral trout, queenies, spanish flag, chinamen fish etc. Great spot and very easy to find/get to. Definitely check out the shipping channel for bait schools and the tuna and macks hanging around them. Good luck, such a great place.

 Well we are here...Barnhill

Fri, 2012-10-05 07:56

Well we are here...Barnhill was pretty relaxing for the two nights...dam good station roast on Sunday night for only 15 bucks...three course meal...did not put the boat in but tried land based but no joy. In Broome now...what a funny place to drive around pockets of shops all over the place...took the boat out yesterday....trolled the channel but nothing...went up Dampier Creek for. Only on small Queenie...the tide is slowing up over the next few days so if the wind keeps down we. Will keep trying in the boat...has anyone been up Willie Creek for a report? We're hoping for our first ever Barra but can see time beating me
