Herring hard work today didn't really
fire till after lunch! Pinned a few
smaller pike. still no larger models
yet? Did get a good hit which couldve
been larger specimen but no joy ..
All kept for beach baits . Got pinged
on the beach Friday night . Braid let
go.. gonna have too put on new line
i think after a black smooth round 70kgs
maybe bigger done a number on me few
weeks back on the sand .. cheers

they where one of the first fish i ever caught ,and likly will be one of the last when im too old to catch much else lol

Hot plate
Nothing better than straight out of the water and onto a hot plate, no cleaning them. The scales lift off, gizzards roll up in a little ball and magnificent to eat.
Used to do it regularly when pro salmon fishing and couldn't get enough to satisfy the whole crew, hungry barstewards
