Bunbury beaches

Hi guys
Just wondering if the Bunbury beaches are producing much at the moment last week in the newspaper in the fishing report section it said there was a salmon school that went threw witch surprised me a bit. And has the Bunbury shipping channel produced any mulloway yet.
Cheers guys

I hear they're getting a few pilot whales around the breakwater and reports say no bait required. No idea what sort of gear they're using though.

hahaha its a bit too soon for the whale jokes isnt it. unfortunaly 16 of the 20 odd didnt make it, but thats life. ive caught a handful of juvenile mullas around the shipping channel - but nothing to write home about yet. the storms would have broken the salmon up and bought them in, theyre not exactly 'on the run' yet tho.

3 Tiger Sharks were seen

3 Tiger Sharks were seen feasting on one weak whale that returned the next day.

I'm not sure about the Mulloway in the shipping channel but we are certainly coming into Snapper season for them.

Probably could have saved more of the whales but you had to be a member of the elite dolphin discovery centre, lots of help was turned away (bad Form).

i have been gettign plenty of herring along the back beach , plagues of them on an offshore wind
several salmon where hooked at hungry hollow on monday morning as well as bonito off the back of the surf club by aclose inshore boatie

back in 1989 i helped one of the local commercials haul in a ton of salmon at 5 mile brook
the date was feb 7th,

so if your down there at the back beach have a crack , you might get lucky
