Busselton Jetty Fishing!
Been having lots of fun out the jetty with my fishing crew this week(TJR,scottnot n all the other lads who have been coming out with us n loving it),have been cleaning up pretty much every night at our usual haven,catching tailor(choppers n greenbacks 40-50+cms then the odd 60+ later on in the evening 10pm),bonito(40-50cm),big squid(footlongs),some 25-30cm bull herring n good size snook upto 75cm,scottnot will be out there again 2nite and maybe myself to if the missus lets me out,lol,its guna be stiff southerly 15-20knts off there today,swinging to a south-easterly 15-20knts in the late evening,high tide 0.9m is at 7:30 pm,got a new camera now will be putting up video n photos,from this day forward n remember fish for the future n please keep our Jetty clean when uve finished,im sick and tired of picking up rubbish as im walking in each night!!! n to chook ur legend keep up the good work mate!!

real good night last night nailed the bonito early in the night then went into a few pretty steady on through the night

Avoid the bottom. If they come around and you dont want to move spots just stop fishing for a bit, they hang around when bait is in the water. In some spots there is not much you can do about them though, generally the further out you go the less of them. There is always less after dark also.

try stay on the top,dont use
try stay on the top,dont use sinkers unless you really need to,for tailor n bonito we run a metre long trace 40lb+ tied straight onto my line with a universal knot,with 3/0 gangs(with a 2-3inch long glow stick sleeved on to leader 2-3 inchs from gangs,opitional),then cast out a good 20 ms then give about 30s then very slow retrieve in keepin slight tension on the line,u will feel them smash it everytime mate,we got 4 bonito and 5 tailor in 2 hrs,how far along did you get your squid?got a nice 1 out the end lastnite(30cm+)
