Busselton Tomorrow!
Submitted by Bruce on Wed, 2012-11-28 10:19
Gday guys
Heading to Busselton tomorrow for a short holiday with the priority being fishing. Yay! Spewing I can't take the dinghy because I've been lazy and haven't found a spare wheel, but was probably going to hire a dinghy from Cape to Cape dinghy hire.
Will post a report on how the fish are biting!
Cheers

LoL you are going to need
LoL you are going to need full wets for the next few days. Went down for a look not long ago, the ocean is one big washing machine that is on the heavy wash cycle. I'm gonna give the jetty a crack at 6pm but I don't like the chances. It should calm down a bit in the next few days though.

There is no blue water at all out there, been working right on the new development near the jetty and its all white and brown froth. IF you catch anything I will be surprised.

I just
went for a look at the renovations to the Abbey Ramp, oh dear.
Whatever progress they'd made in the last month has already been washed away.

From what
i've heard (I havn't seen the actual plans) they're building 2 groynes, E and W of the ramp for protection from cross winds and building a finger jetty in the middle.
I'll hold my opinion of that back until it's finished

Jetty Snapper ... ?
If you can find some of the old ballast stones the sailing ships dropped you'll find Pink Snapper ( is this fishery closed to Shore based pursuits in this region - its closed for boaties). The other option is to take some mulies and blue sardines out along the sandbar - cast out through the choppy conditions from about 6pm onward maybe earlier for the chance at some solid tailor ( that sounds like fun) and have a big line out with a live yakka on it for a late season Mulloway.

Unfortunatly
it doesn't matter how you catch a demersal you still can't keep them during the ban Perry
