Hi guys
I'm new to this forum and pretty new to fishing so i i'm after some advice.
Some mates and i are heading down to Margaret River next weekend to camp at Canebrake Pool.
I was wondering if anyone has been there and if there is anything to catch there. If not where would be a place close by that was worth while.
Also if you guys could offer some pointers on tackle and tactics that would be great.
Thanks for your pateince :)

Badger, I think you will find
Badger, I think you will find that Canebrake pool is a little too far inland to hold any fish mostly Marron when in season. Could be some redfin pearch though. You could head South from there down Great North road to the Blackwood river which hold some bream and Tailor but with the fresh water coming down now they may have been pushed further down the river. Still a nice place to go.

Spot on
Spicey, from what i've seen and have been told there arn't really any fish at Canebrake. There are a few Hairy Marron and normal Marron but very few fish. Your suggestion to head down to the Blackwood would be the best bet to get anthing on the end of a line.
