I tried looking into this a while ago but it was hard to find the exact rules on it. As far as I could tell theres not too places you're allowed to use them metro. I'd someone else can give us some more info that would be great. And yes I've read everything from the fisheries website.

on reading that netting pdf i think u can use one... just have a licence for it

• Sanctuary Zones in Marine Parks/Reserves,
• Total fishing exclusion zones; and
• Any other area which is closed to all types of

Would expect that they can only be used where recreational set/haul nets are used so the same restrictions apply.

maybe give Paul G a pm. i am prety sure they have one and use it. i remember seeing a couple of posts about a cast net from him a fair while back
