Iguess your talking
I guess your talking landbased so if you are id be heading to a spot just south of jurien called hill river! Top spot where ive landed KG's, tailor, bull herring, massive skippy and great sized sharks from the beach. As you turn into the car park take a right along a track there and follow it till it comes to a small clearing. Walk straight down there and fish, use berrley and i garantee youll be onto fish before you know it. Great spot.
Dusk and into the night is best and yeah there is some thumper mullas been caught from there but im yet to be lucky enough to get one. But they are there!. :)

Yeah but you can get through
Yeah but you can get through there in a car! Tracks pretty hard sand and only goes for about 1km before you need to stop. But i havent been there for atleast 12months so if youve got a 4bie id take it. Mulies on gang hooks is all you require and maybe some of the special brew ;) lol. Na you need berley a far bit because the fish take off on you, about a handful every 30mins does the trick.

Hi Jas, I know there was quite a lot of tailor, sqid and yellow tail action on the main Cervantes jetty on my last trip there. Might be a good place to pick upo some fresh and live bait, Colin

On the beach where the backpackers is we fished that before in the past and have done well some days and others crap, so some of it is luck.
If you get a nice calm day I would recommend heading down to that beach with a gidgee at night, we did very well on Big whiting, decent flathead and cobler, also saw a few rays aswell, and when they are around can be a pain so a rig with a cork is usefull to keep it off the bottom.
Cheers

RE Cervantes
Hi Jas, Not often enough. It has probably bewen 12 months since I was last there. The tailor action was on the outside of the northern end of the jetty, early morning. The squid were on the inside of the northern end. Good luck with wherever you try up there Colin
