Mate you could try fishing off the groyn end of jurian bay rd which is just near woodies get all sorts of toothies, squid and others there. The ammo's is still good for most things, just need to watch the car.The beach down at kwiniana near the wheat silo's good for most things,Swanbourn drain again catch most things including the occasional decent sized tailor hopefully this gives you a few spots to try good luck

Mate, try fishing at Coogee Beach. You'd be very suprised with what you will catch on Softplastics and array of small Bream lures. When I went there couple months ago I was just armed with a Bream Stick with a matching reel and just array of Softplastics and small Hardbodies. I picked up Bartail Flathead, Herring, Yellowtail, Flounder, Yellowfin Whiting and other small critters. Just walk along up and down the beach and cast out as far as you can and let it sink all the way to the bottom and just start retrieving with a few twitches and pauses. But yeah, you can do that along any stretch of Beach and you'd be hooked on. Its quick and easy way to have a lazy day's fishing!

P.S If your not fit, I think you should take a water bottle cause alot of walking on soft sand will take it out of you!

My reels screaming zzzzzzz.... awwww damn it, its another boat!

All the best for the future fishing trips.
Cheers.... Jangles

nice one guys thanks for all that brilliant info will be busy the next couple of weeks checking out these spots... need to get these exams out of the way asap have to go for some up north fishing adventure soon again.. headed to moore river, mandurah the last trip.. ended up fishing from the private jetties just across from the house caught nothing the whole night and day..even left a line out with some squid over night not a single thing happening... so the next day after the piss up( instead of watchign the stagnant lines) we headed to the opening of the river into the ocean.. and fished the boundary where the salt water was mixing with the fresh from the land had a million bites... loads of blowies pulled up.. but whiting ( sand ), a goatfish( at least i think it was , had those 2 feeler things in the bottom with like a rainbow of colours on it), even a rcok cod( again the species name maybe different, sort of like a grouper near the rocks.) and mystery bites as well..was good but the sun was a killer so called it early but was a good trip. a distance to travel it was... has anyone else noticed that you cant fish along mandurah anymore like the whole coast area or at least fishy looking spots have been built up with houses
