ABC news
Just watched the report on the ABC,
All I can say is BULL SHIT !!!!.
I am not an expert, and fish kills can be caused by natural reasons, but usualy only in enclosed systems. The sound would hardley have "natural oxygen level problems" seeing it it open to the ocean.
Fugen pathetic, now watch all the green groups jump on the band wagon with the classic " we told you so bullshit "
Well guess what, it was and is, and always has been the recreation fishing community who cares, But have always been pushed to the side lines by media hungry political and environmental groups.
I guess it will be along time before any of us will be fishing in Cockburn sound after this devistation to marine life.

Sadly I think you are right
It is with gritted teeth that I watched the news tonight, to me it seems like all the scientist types have thrown their collective hands up in the air and said it's all to hard.
If that's the case sackem and put the task out on a world wide tender and give some one else a go.
Four departments and all their resources can't find an answer, no one said it's going to be easy but what has happened to Australian brains. Is our education system that bad we no longer have the problem solving skills Aussies where renowned to have.
What ever has caused it is big, IMO is it possible a major spill of Canola seed can cause such a thing. I've seen a few people suggesting such a thing , me I wouldn't have a clue.
I just hope that the eggs produced at the spawning have survived.

Like I said before
The truth is being kept secret and the plan is that time will see the interest diminish and sooner or later people will give up and move on !!
It's all a load of crap that in this day and age of science and technology no one knows what is happening ....bullshit they don't !!

The various departments will
The various departments will "consult widely" which the Government always does. This is so they can look at the camera and give the impression they really care and they take the community opinions into account. Then they do whatever they intended in the first place. In this instance NOTHING.
