Chicken breast for big bait

Hey everyone, just curious to see if any one has used chicken breast for bait, and if maybe a whole breast ( bit old to eat) would be an ok bait presented on double snell ?

Heard of a big pinky caught
Heard of a big pinky caught landbased in Albany on a whole breast haha didn't believe it till I seem a photo of a 10-11kg fish with a half chewed breast and snells out its mouth.
always looking for a new challenge!!

Don't see why fish wouldn't pass up the chance for a tasty piece of chicken, would probably stay on the hook longer too though I can think of a few cheaper alternatives or bait.

hmmmmm
Its not the oiliest meat in the world but pretty pungent when beginning to go off. The thing is I have found off-meat is as productive/unproductive as off-fish however I should imagine the rays will like it. If not snelling it as a whole, try cubes on some circles or octopus hooks or small strips on longshanks - i should imagine its good for whiting - then use the whiting as a better bait for something else.

chicken is a great bait
i use chicken breast all the time it is a great skippy,herring,bream,salmon bait iv had a double hook rig and with chicken breast and pilly and would catch on the chicken first every time. i have a mate in nsw and when he goes mulloway fishing he only uses chicken breast for bait
