they are some good size salmon there reaper ,do you catch and release alought of these as well they look like alought of great fun that size ???

Wow they're a great size!

I had some smoked salmon at the boat show yesterday, it was very tasty and pretty much you just have to buy salmon here ;(

your allowed a total of 4 Salmon  each day but  only 2 of each type  so you can have 2 Chinooks and 2 Chum or 2 Coho and 2 Chum  or whatever combo you make

and yes we have a blast catching then releasing after we have caught the fish we will take home  the water is nice and cold this time of the year so  you can bleed the fish then leave it in the water  while you  keep fishing this in turn wont make the fish go into rigger till you gut it :)

and thats too bad till cause  we  dont ever have to pay for any of it  we make smoked candied jerky  you name it  weve done it  right now the priceest fish is the Chinook at 22.00 a pound i brought a 20lb one home the other day a 400+ dollar fish

Oh and most important  those are the SMALL ones :P

I didn't realise those salmon had teeth like that, interesting.

they only get those teeth when they come to spawn they use them for fighting  and they are razor sharp

Beautiful Chum there Reaper. I was just over in Vancouver island about a month ago and I was lucky enough to see the Chinook coming up the Big Qualicum river and into the hatchery. Saw some absoultly mamoth fish there. Fancinating.  Are the Chinook still comming up the rivers or have they finished up now?

Did you get these in the river or in the sea before they head up?

I must say I'm hooked on Pacific Salmon now. Keen to get back over there in the next few years to get amoungst it again

Those are caught in the River  but you can catch them in ocean as well and they can be alot of fun as well  in this river you can Catch and keep  Chum Springs Coho

Chum and Coho fight the best tho tooth and nail till the end Coho fly out of the water and dance in the air  Chum  shake spin jump  whatever to get rid of that hook :)

but you come see me  in October  of any year and ill show you some wicked and i mean Wicked fishing  all we use is 10.5 foot rod pice of lead for weight  leader hook and a piece of wool to catch them i play with lots of fish every day then arm gets sore and time to go home :)

i caught my two go home fish  within 20 minutes this morning  so i got to stay and play for another 2 hrs  just catch and release :)
