Cleaning Boat Windscreen -What to use

Guys what do you recommend on your boat windscreens.

I have a quintrex-no wipers and the sticker on the screen advises just to use water but it still gets lots of water stains etc.

Here is a trick from a detailer

You will probably think im a troll for this but wait for it.....

STEEL WOOL !

Yep, works a treat. we use it on the car windows, boat windows, shower screen.

Needs to be the one with the soap in it. You need to check that your windscreen is glass not PERSPEX/PLASTIC or it will scratch the hell out of it.

And dont do it on window tinting.

It removes everything, water stains, calcium etc. Once done with the steel wool, hit it with a wax of somesort.

Just find a piece of glass somewhere, or do a bit on the corner of your shower screen and you will see what i am talking about.

Brings it up like new.

cheers

give vinegar a go mate, works a treat on the house as well getting stains from bore water as well anything else off without the hard scrubbing. stinks a bit but a good rinse after will sort that.

Easy to apply, causes water to bead off for far far longer than Rainex and removes fine scratches as well
