Congratulations fisheries

Fisheries cop a lot of flak for catching numerous Tigers but missing the mark with the target. No one will ever know if todays White was the "one",but as a regular diver of the James Service and a father of three kids that spend a fair bit of time in the ocean, a big thankyou for removing a potential threat from a local surf beach. Those that want to defend the sharks right to be there, well that's your call. Regards to the family and all the heroes that went to the aid of someone that was truly in need.

We harvest all sorts of fish

We harvest all sorts of fish from the sea, sharks should be no different. We cull kangaroos not a problem either. The world did not come to a standstill when dinasaurs perished. Drum lines should have stayed out after that catch.

Fisheries are a funny bunch

i always thought Fisheries did all they could not to catch sharks in these situations. Like Dunsbough last year.

Seeing them catch a GW so quickly really surprised me. Then to see they didn't have a firearm on board to despatch the shark seemed to fit my suspicion that they never really try to catch the sharks.

Good effort all round, the lack of quick despatch was a let down.
