start with the basics
dont have to go deep for great patches. Stay within the reef and sound out areas around 8 to 12m. Very easy to bag out on spanglies and sometimes hold nice cod and trout at those depths too. Go Have a quiet morning catching the spangos, get the mojo up...then venture out 80+ trolling on the way out of coarse. A fishing trip is remembered by what ya catch rather than how many. U could spend a week on the water with nothing then in a split second it can turn to an unforgetable experience. Dont give up mate just go back to the drawing board

The older you get the more you realize that no one has a f++king clue what they're doing.
Everyone's just winging it.

Looks like a few going up at
Looks like a few going up at the end of the week.
We leave Friday for 2 weeks staying at Bayview.
Have a 4 and 2 year old so will spend majority of the time inside the reef. A few years back caught the two biggest squid I have ever seen about 100m off the beach. Inside the reef we picked up decent feeds to keep up happy.
We spent some some time outside and picked up one decent mack on lure but no luck on the bottom. Hope that improves this time around.
Cheers

Just got back from a boys
Just got back from a boys trip up there, will post a report this arvo. but the best advice I'd give is to use your sounder. Easiest fish are probable rankin to find, so bits of ground in 30-40m is a good place to start, troll around until something shows up. goodluck mate.
