had the day off ...took the tinny to mandurah dropped the nets pulled them 3 times for two just size crabs ...thought we'd anchor in couple of feet of water as we seen plenty and jump in with just a glove and no shoes ...big mistake ...was viciously attacked by what I thought was a 3kg mudcrab that turned out to be a undersized female...anyone else been out ...still 6 weeks off prime time I think

Zero last Saturday
My son and his mate went out crabbing from Dawesville and scored a big fat 0.
Maybe wait a few more weeks...let's hope there's some around by Christmas.

hey ive been scooping a few times this week in busselton. theres alot around but on the small side, we caught a few size ones but i think its abit early still, when the weather heats up there should be a improvement in size. i saw a few bigger males yesterday in the marina so might take the nets down after work for a hour or so will let yous no how i go.
happy crabbing, kurt

I'm not sure I understand you
I'm not sure I understand you leave your nets in for two days. What just sitting in the one spot? not trying to be smart but don't you usual check them every 30 mins or so?
