Anyone tried these areas recently looking to take the brother in law out this weekend, to score a feed of bluey's.
Any help where the crabs are at the moment would be greatly appreciated may even drop you in a feed if we bag out.
After not catching one size crab at Busselton over Xmas with the brother in law I am hoping to make ammends.
Oy maybe he is just bad luck !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like Yunderup
Somewhere near the marker : http://www.whereis.com/wa/north-yunderup?id=35D18A54BA7A63
Up towards coodanup. I have only been there in a boat. We ran it up in the shallows chucked the anchor and wore reef boots. Walk around in the shallows in broad daylight and if something moves under your foot, dont lift it up, reach down and grab hold of the bastard. They were hiding under the sand, and we rarely saw them as blueys with their claws up.
Bagged out in 15 mins with the old man. Been back a few times and never had a problem. There is always pots and scooping a bit further into the estuary, and I hear the peel end is potting well at the moment. We launch from navarro boat ramp and head east across the estuary nearly 3/4 across and pot using lamb neck, mullet, spleen etc.
Good luck. If you are on an alnighter, take dab nets and torches/headlamps/spotties keep an eye out for prawns or spotlight scoop from the boat for crabs if you are struggling.

estury crabs
on sunday went to estury left from near the new mandurah bridge heading out to the random pilon near the middle, nothing much there so headed east and could see the crabs from the boat in under 2m or water... for the pulls we got 6,5,4 then 2(went from pulling the last pot to straight into pulling the first for the last pull)
