Cruise on the Swan River - where to go
Submitted by JohnF on Mon, 2013-12-30 21:08
Hey guys
Gonna drop the tug in the river for the first time tomorrow morning for a cruise, coffee and lunch. Starting at Matilda bay, question is, where can you cruise to and tie the boat up and get a nice coffee then another location for lunch?
Cheers

Coffee in East Perth and then
Coffee in East Perth and then lunch at:
http://riversidewoodbridge.com/ if you want to impress. Maybe ring to book/check if open. 6-8 knots up here so allow time for relaxing travel. Launch at Maylands? Coffee here, up to the wineries, back down for lunch?
or out the moles and into fishermans harbour for fish & chups.
The Swan is very lacking for this activity...:(
Have a great Day John.

The older you get the more you realize that no one has a f++king clue what they're doing.

Cheers guys, had an great morning on the swan, went up to east perth, had a nice coffee then cruised up to Burswood, then down down to Pt Walter and then had lunch at the Raffles and nibblies and several beers at the Raffles jetty.
Pretty amazing how few places there are on the Swan to do this sort of thing, but a really relaxing day none the less.
A run down to little creastures will be next, then maybe a wineries run up the river.

On sunday we launched at Maylands, and headed up to Caversham for lunch, then cruised all the way down to Freo for Dinner at Cicerellos. Great day, great to have such a great resource so close to the city.
