oh well , nothing out deep but you ended with a feed in the end. that deep stuff is a killer. it could have been the knifejaws out deep that were taking the baits. curious tho as to what weight sinker you were using . that pinkie is a hooter as well, what size was it

Yeah seasickness has been kicking my arse

Sat, 2011-01-22 14:01

Lately.  I think I have been spoiled by to many trips out past rotto on the maritime image or the birkin with tafe. Over christmas/ny break down in walpole I got seasick as on the first day out wide in a stacer 4.5.  Got some travelcalm original, was fine the next day when fishing, but it knocks you around past lunchtime without more caffeine. Then past ny in Jurien I was seasick also in a swiftcraft ~21', same thing, travelcalm the next day and I was ok, but still belted past lunchtime.  Its pretty scary when the pharmacy people are saying "this makes you drowsy, so dont drive a vehicle" Im going out boating, not as skipper, but I still dont want to fall overboard! I am on a mission to test the ginger treatment in pills and gingernut biscuits in the next few months.  Maybe I should just man up and go small boat fishing more often and not be a princess:/

with the travacalm you just need to drink water all day, not huge amounts at a time but regularly. Sandy takes them and has no probs as long as she drinks and has a bit o eat along the way.

dreaded feeling ( NOT THE MOTHER IN LAW!)

Sun, 2011-01-23 11:39

Just a opinion about that god awful feeling ,I just wish there was a pill that gave people a full on case of the

seasickness ,so world leaders , etc could take it ,so then we could dedicate the weight of human knowledge to find a cure!

one wag years ago remarked sitting under a tree worked for him ( pussy i say) but i have found avil ,a hayfever and motion sickness tablet

the strongest one.it knocks the hell of you by the afternoon ,dry throat etc, but when all else has failed ,

silly bracelets, red head biscuits and the like, good old avil ( over the counter at chemists) damm near plugs the windpipe and will hold down

most things. ( fremantle mulie oops ssssardine sandwichs excepted)

saltwater barfer member since 1986.
