In Deep Shirt----Water.
Spotted it this morning and couldn't resist going out and taking a few pics. It has been trying a couple of times to deepen the channel in to the Fascine [small boat harbour, for non Carnarvon familiar folk] that's mouth has been sanding up severely for a couple of years and now is something like 400mm deep at low tide making it nearly impassible for bigger boats unless its over half tide.
It is nearly a good replacement port channel marker.
Glad its not my machine because its going to be a very expensive exercise to fix it with all the wiring and electronics to be replaced and possible enging and hydraulics to be done as well.
Will head down later to see what efforts are being done to recover it from its little hole some 50-60 metres from shore

Not the first time that's happened.
I remember the same thing when they were putting the channel in not long after the pelican point resort was built. Had a dozer in the car park going through every chain in town it seemed.
Does anyone know where the love of god goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours?

Wonder
I wonder who is going to get the blame and how are they going to get it out , big bulldozers are not usually available at short notice plus that was at a 1-3 something high tide with a 1.75 due tonight so tomorrow will be interesting if its still there.

trying to drag that out. If they can get it running they may have a chance with everything going right, but there will be some $$$$$ spent!!

Still there
Was still no worse this morning when I had a look at quarter tide. Would have expected to have seen some movement on recovering it while the tide was down but nothing doing.

Was yesterday
Didn't get down that far today but was still there Thursday. Was a heap of yellow shirts down there pointing on Tuesday so maybe something is being planned, whether to build a track out or hook up to a couple of big dozers.

Removal
Would say that it will have to be removed plus emptying out the hydraulic oil and some 400 litres of diesel still in its tanks
