it is a Major Craft Alexander Ax-b54/6 and it sounds perfect.
length is 5'4"
max lure weight is 200g
max drag is 9kg
and it is rated PE 2-4
if anyone has any experience with these rods or some sugestions about please let me know

Depends on the style of jigging, but that's pretty short and possibly pretty heavy.
If you intend on fishing deeper rather than shallower, with PE3-4 (40-50lb) with jigs around the rated max 200gm then it sounds ok.
But for lighter jigs, in shallower water and line around PE2 I'd prefer something closer to 6'.
Comes down to personal preference and also a bit hard to tell without being familiar with that model, or being able to feel it.

hey gav the ones that i am looking at are overhead but you can get them in spin too.
the price is around 500$ - 550$ but with the features they have they are worth it in my mind.
ai found a web site if you still want to check them out. http://www.majorcraft.co.jp/english/catalogue/brand.jsp?mode=cover/alexander
the models that i am looking at are down the bottom
for example the ax-s60/6 is a spin rod but a Ax-b54/6 is an overhead.
hope this helps.
Barcelona.
