DIY rod tube

Fits 4 big rods in.  Mrs donated me some old pillow cases to wrap the rods with so they dont move around inside the tube during transport.

100mm tube, cut to my longest peice of rod (8' Live Fibre).  Straps are donated from a Woolies bag and sewn around hose clamps.

What do you guys think?

looking good

looks good, I was racked for space when I built mine so at the end I used reducer, to reducer, and so on, gave extra length on one side but was around 150 shorter on the other side

 Thanks!  I have seen others

Thanks!  I have seen others with shoulder straps screwed into the end caps but at 2.6m long this one would be too awkward.  Also considered just screwing in cupboard handles but I didn't want to reduce the internal diameter and risk scratching the rods inside.

If these straps aren't much chop, I'll be cutting up a leather belt and using rivets or buying replacement leather straps (intended for hand bags haha) which come with clips.
