Do you need a leader for Berkley nanofil?

 The Berkley product grab on you tube shows him tieing straight to the lure but I just bought some 6lb and it looks to white not to have a leader.

 definitely- its not just the colour of the line but it also has no abrasion resistance. When tying to the leader you will probably have to tie a double such as spider hitch or bimini before you tie the knot such as an albright because nanofil has poor knot strength

 I used a double uni 6 turns to 9 seamed to work. Will find out on the weekend. Iam keen to see if this casting claim is true.

I use 6lb nanofil for bream,trout,and reddies. Used to use 8lb fluro leader but it occasionaly let go at the knot, now i just tie it straight to the lure and have had no probs.
