Request for donation in support of cancer research
Dear FishWreckers,
I'm writing to ask for your support of an excellent cause. Everyone gets touched by cancer in some way. For me, it was the loss of my mate, my mentor, my hero - my dad (who as you can see, got me into fish in the first place!). Since then, most of my closest friends have lost parents to cancer and every time it happens, I feel the pain with them. My wife and I decided to join this benefit ride this year to help with the urgently needed research to combat all forms of cancer. Please help our efforts and donate.
In memory of my dad, I have committed to participate in a 2-day major cycling event called The Sunsuper Ride to Conquer Cancer® benefiting the Western Australian Institute for Medical Research (WAIMR). With Deb, I'll be cycling over 200 kilometres, throughout Western Australia's countryside over two days in October 2013. I have agreed to raise at least $2,500 (hopefully more!). I hope that you'll share this adventure with me by supporting my fundraising efforts. I have lots of preparation ahead of me and have been training hard for this epic ride.

Good on you Glenn, it's a very well organized funds raiser for a very important cause. 1 in 2 will experience cancer in their life. I'm also doing the ride to raise my bit.

Afternoon Glenn, I myself lost my father to cancer and felt robbed for a number of years after his death as
he passed away when I was only 28. As yourself he is the reason that I love the outdoors and fishing.

Just made a donation for you Glenn. I'll be seeing you on the ride too as I'm doing it myself two of my immediate family have battled cancer so as you are I'm very passionate about raising money to beat this disease. I rode in it last year and signed up straight away for this year.

How about any of us Fishwreckers that are doing the ride, hang a decent size hard body lure with hooks removed from the back of our seat. That'll be a good way to identify us and will attract plenty of questions I reckon. What do you guys think?
