It's all over red rover and guess what.. The Eagles sored over the Hawks. Two teams who will play a part this year. It was a great spectacle despite the errant scoring by both sides. Hawks did themselves proud so thanks guys for putting on a good show. Thanks Eagles for making my day. As for the rest of you knockers in here... Ha Ha Ha Ha

1 goal from the budmeister and a two trick Rioli after about 1hr 1/2 of footy - great show that one. I think it was more the Kerr and Mcenzie show myself
Despite the scoreline, mostly a good game - thats what happens with 2 good defensive teams.

soccer is very skilful game imo
was a good close match between eagles and hawks,but any soccer knockers should realise soccer is a very skilful game in my opinion,its not a gay game,watching the footy at the end of the game they were kissing eachother on the cheek,so which game is gay anyway go glory............................

Another brainless FFC fan comment
There was a lot of feeling and mateship going on after the game. With the Passing of Will Scofield's Father in the week emotions were running high. Every member of the team gave him a hug after the game and that is a sign of a close knit unit. Good on them!

Shit of a game, frustrating, oh well a win is a win, good on the eagles, gotta agree with clarkos comments tho, I was agro at some of the instant ducks in contested situations which provided a free kick, both teams had more than enough opportunities throughout the game, the score board says so. As for soccer, a round predictable ball, no tackling, and about 5 percent of the game having excitement, I mean how do they call it a nill all draw, both teams are shit, AFL pisses all over any sport in OZ and the stats say so, the most supported sport in OZ, if the game last night is an example of the not so enjoyable to watch games, still shits on watchn soccer and rugby, got to have played it (and understand it) to appreciate it.

Sick of bloody watching the game now - it's all about penalties and converting - not enough on actually scoring a try !
AFL may not have the hits, but it's a fast sport and easy to watch !
But, that's just my opinion.

Not as much fun as when I played. No "mongrel" left in trying to get the ball. Not allowed to do much to try and get a turnover. Changed the rules to make it faster, but then it has become less of a spectator sport.
Would love to see the day when a trie is worth heaps, and a penalty worth less to encourage the run.
