Over 400 hours in exactly 2 years on a 300 suzuki :-) On the 300 suzuki and 115 yammi we can get a print out when the motor is serviced telling how many minutes at what rev range the motor has done. Might be an idea to get that if you can . I got a printout from the dudes who serviced our yammi for the guy that bought the old boat, cost me a carton .
Thats very low smithy, Ryans 140 Suzuki 4 stroke was 2005 model and did 1540 (dyno hours). He recently traded in (6months ago) for wanting a bigger motor (got a 175hp) but even at 1540 hours it was still running sweet.
I know a Barra guide in the NT with just over 10000 hours on a 140 Suzuki. He was going to trade it at 6500 but thought it might be interesting to see just what it could do.
Ive put 500 hrs on the 250 yammy 4 st in the past 2 years and its running like it did when it was new.
Speaking of motors, I had a 'Potential Buyer' ring the other day saying the motor on my boat would be absolutely rooted as it has 500 hrs on it. His mate had 'exactly' the same motor that blew up after 500 hrs - after a little probing, I found out that it was a 15 year old, 250 2 stroke that hadnt been used for 5 years........Some people......

I think so
Dont worry too much about hours, the insides will be in better nic if its been used rather than sat around.
Thats my opinion anyway, my 2007 has 120 but i think it had sat a bit before i bought it.
Check service history.

Does anyone know where the love of god goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours?

Does yours make a noise into and out of gears
i went for a quick run on a tub last year and his 350 was clunky.Went like a shower when it was going though.
So tell me have you got your info from years on the water or hours on the internet?

Yeah definately dont discount
Yeah definately dont discount a motor that has a few hours on it, they seem to like being used more than being left sitting in the shed.
