Engine Vibration
Submitted by Bradmac73 on Fri, 2019-12-20 10:24
I have a Merc 175 2 stroke, 2006 model which runs perfectly at speed, idles perfectly, but vibrates like a mo fo when doing less than about 10 knots. Given it runs smoothly, I have (perhaps incorrectly) assumed it is either a drive line issue or something outside of an engine issue that is creating the vibration.
Has anyone had a similar issue, or ideas as to what to check?
cheers

Check the plastic prop
Check the plastic prop coupler block inside the prop, sacrificial item saves the prop and drive shaft in th event of a prop strike. They do age and crack from time to time
