Anyone ever been for a squid at Esperance. Down for a week and was keen but wasn't sure if there were even squid there.

yeh you can catch them at esperance but its not rlly the right time of year so there will be some but not lots

Yep they are catching them in the bay and off the jetty, not plentiful but big in size. I caught 5 last week east of town, biggest had a 30cm hood.
Heading out tomorrow because bonito are running and I'll have a squid too so I'll let you know how I go.

head to tanker jetty, night time under those light pole, just use any glow squid jig, ^^
Cheers. I didn't make the jetty for a squid, spent all day in kayak hunting crabs. Wow they were big, 660mm claw to claw was the biggest. If I could remember how to post a pic I'd show you. Thanks for the tanker jetty tip too
