Shame you couldn't get it to some scales.
Unfortunately you'll never know if It was 20 unless it's weighed properly.
Looks close.
If I spent half as long fishing , as I do reading this bloody forum , I'd be twice the fisherman I am.

certainly a good Dhuie but doesn't look in the 20kg+ class to me. 17-19kg i'd say

Nice Dhui. Did you measure it
Nice Dhui. Did you measure it by any chance? You can get a close estimate on weights of a Dhui by its length.

Regretfully less than 20kg
I got my person pb only last week and called it for 20 easy - and it went 18.9 on certified scales and when I compared it to my previous pb it was actually a cm or two shorter but in better condition - if I knew how to add a photo half way down a thread I would put it up for comparison as it might assist.

A big dhu no matter off the weight. one like that in the blue water this weekend would be nice..I would say 20kg give or take a little.

Around the 1m mark = 20 kg,
Around the 1m mark = 20 kg, although male to female weights a bit different. Did you get a length. Yours looks pretty chubby so if it was 1m or over, I would say it would be getting close to or over 20 kg.
Great fish!

Stonker of a dhuie. Always
Stonker of a dhuie. Always hard to tell from a photo. Length doesn't really give much of a indication to weight either. I have caught a 108cm dhuie that only weighed 16kg. In saying that it looks pretty fat and at 105cm it would be close to 20kg. Should of weighed it on certified scales, you'll never know now.
