Exmouth August 08

G'day all,

Back from exmouth again, and what can i say, it was another blinder of a trip!

Although this trip there was no marlin or big GTs caught there were a heap of others..

Chinamen Fish

Plenty of trevs (Goldens, Gold Spot, mini Gs, Bludger)

Plenty of good trout (coranation and coral)

Plenty of rankins

NO Red emps Frown

Macks ( School, Sharkys and Spaniards)

Plenty of the cod types (honeycomb, malabar, and lost some thumping cod which couldn't get off the bottom)

Couple of tuna (YFT and stripeys)

Plenty of big spangos..

All in all had a wicked trip, can wait to get back up there..this time even longer!!

Cheers,

Sam

Nice Sam, what did you get your YFT on? (skirt/diver?) Been chasing one all season but had no luck. Haven't seen any sharkies in a while either, good sign that there back.

Looks like your fishing very close to my areas for the trout, nice fish!

thanks boys, got the YFT on

Sun, 2008-08-17 15:36

thanks boys,

got the YFT on a deep deep diver, but he was only small around the 5kg mark, another mate got a bigger YFT around the 12kg, again on a XDD 190.

Yeh we ended up with about 3 or 4 sharkies for the trip..most around the size posted but one was a horse!

Thanks for putting the pics in the thread aswell Adam.Wink

John, stand out fish for the trip would have to be the Spaniards i spose, but the funnest was definatley jigging big trevs, they go bloody hard...

cheers

Hrm, quite like the idea of carpeting the seats, interesting!  Might have to look into that, especially with summer coming when touching the metal leaves 3rd degree burns.
