beach fishing? always have one floater or bait out and leave it in your rod holder then cast poppers about 20mtrs out working them aggressive, massive queenies, even had spangled's smashing them. We tried a few beaches and only really had good success from one side of the beach. Also something unstoppable's was smashing our plastics worked through the reef, we were gussing massive GT's.

Awesome fun, i can't wait to go back, we weren't granted by the best weather, but the day we did, the fishing fired up.

Yeah i got the saltist and 7" boat road for thwowing out large mullet or mullies, dont know if its going to be quite up to the task if a Massive gt grabs hold but should be able to handle some pretty decent sized fish, Get spanish mackies off the beach up there at all?

We got the whole spangled family lol, gold spots, baby gts, queenies, blue bone, and pretty sure massive GT's, mostly on plastics and poppers.

Bring a scoop net, on the beach millions of bait fish, not sure if your allowed to catch them or not.. but perfect bait, we set one out live on the 2500 shimano, never seen a rod scream so much haha, good fun

Got to teach the girls how to tie the good old blood knot with clincher, going to try pilgramunna and trisel i think not totally familiar with the area. Went last year and all the three of us managed were to small goldens around the 50-60cm mark but had great weather so was still a great trip. must say the trevally was great on the tooth caught, bled, filleted then strait on the little gas cooker with salt and pepper for breakky. hadnt been dead more than 5 minutes top feed! Hope ill have a heap of pics to post up when i return along with a report.

i will pm you the beach we went to, easy to get to, nice parking and hardly anyone there at all, best feeling ever was hooking up to a monster queenie, looking up at the carpark and this car just pulled up when my queenie started jumping out of the water, he had his surf board on the car, i released the queenie and instantly, 2mtr from the beach the queenie got smashed by a shark, i think thats why it was jumping, he wasnt waiting around haha

 some good looking gear ther colesy,it wont take long before they are all scrached up ,at the monent there is bait shools on the beachs on the west side ,good fish getting around thats for sure ,how long are you up here for ???

Been looking after my gear really well lately, but so long as we get some good fish ill be happy, got 12 days to acheive that goal
