Exmouth, Karratha and Kalbarri
Submitted by tailor marc on Fri, 2011-07-01 13:23
Well im finally back from my huge road trip.
Left Perth at 3 am and arrived in exmouth at 5.30pm. We had the next full day planned to head out to the ningaloo reef to swim with the whalesharks with 3 island whaleshark dive. I highly recomend them to anybody. Picked up at 7.30 from the potshot and snorkle some of the shelterd reefs then have breaky then head out to the whalesharks. Swam with them all day then had lunch then dropped back to the potshot at 5.30pm! Great day. Here are some of the pics....

Arrrived in Karratha but the winds were up and there was no chance of getting out to the killa spots. We ended fishing close to Legende island a couple days but got sharked on most hook ups. I will post vids soon.
One night we headed out to sea ripple passage cliffs and salvotore landed this nice GT. Took a couple pics then let it go...

Job
Marc i reckon you could make a career out of hiring your services for people when they go on their fishing trips. If you were a chef as well you could command whatever you wanted.

awsome photos mate
am real impressed with your photos, they really capture the beauty of these places! im only fairly new to the digital SLR world and starting to look at expanding my lens range. have a 18-50mm and 50-200mm lens. what size do you use for your wide angle shots?(like your kalbarri or ashburton shots) and you a big user of a tripod for your wide angle landscape pics. you definately have the artistic side needed to capture a quality shot.
thanks

Cheers mate :)
The only lens i have at the moment is the 17-55 2.8 usm. Its really killa sharp and it has "L" series glass in it. Its not as wide as i would like so the way around that is to do panoramas. The ashburton river one for eg is done handheld. The 17-55 lens i have has mage stableizer which helps for a steady shot.
I dont use tripod much , mainly night shots or anyshots where i have to do over 2 second exposures. Most of the artistic shots ar "hdr" . Look into hdr as if done right they can look so good :)
