Hi all,
For my 21st I got a paid for fishing holiday to exmouth for almost 2 weeks from the missus. How good is that!
Going to be doing alot of beach fishing & exploring as its our first time there. Got my maps for the fishing zones and the ute ready to go, cannot wait!
What have people been catching off the beach lately? Got all sorts of rods and tackle (as your do), ready to go. So we are preparing for anything..
If anyone has any tips with whats working at the moment ect. would be good!
Will try and upload some pictures and videos from the gopro when we get back.
Thanks

The first day Ii suggest you
The first day Ii suggest you do a drive from Exmouth right around the Cape checking all the spots along the way, keep a little book of info on the good ones for future referrence and go back as the tides suit. So many places to fish, all will produce something. From memorty the caravan parks and maybe tackle shops have some written stuff as well that they pass onto you.

I agree with trymyluck, you
I agree with trymyluck, you gotta check the wind, check the tides and do alot of driving! your not always gonna get int some trophy fish at the first beach you stop at!
I would recommend smallish poppers/stick baits if your after queenies & spangos, good beachs to try would be jansz, hunters, mildura wreck and where ever the bait balls are hitting the shore!
I have had alot of success in beaches further down the cape, sandy bay, pilgramunna (my favourite spot) and osprey bay!
youve really gotta do alot of work to get into fish at the moment! with lots of sharks aroudn the bait balls arent really all up and down the shore like they use to be 12months back when I was up there ( ive only just got back ) I go every may!
if your after some bigger GTs oysters at night is a cracker (thats up from mildura wreck) not the oyster stacks on the west side of the cape thats got fishing restrictions!
you can get mangrove jacks in the marina at night if your lucky! also if you go down to warpot creek which is about 2kms down past leeramonth jetty.. has its moments!
PM me if you need anymore info
Cheers Steve

Liquid's on the money there.
Liquid's on the money there. Also try either side of the Navy pier for GT's late arvo. Just dont fish within the restriction zone. Big blooping poppers and long casts are what you'll need and HEAVY spin gear as they will bust you off on any reef around there.
Pilgramunna is sweet for little blue salmon, queenies and spangos. I mostly used plastics there - 3 1/4" gold atomic paddletails.
Wapet creek is sweet fun with the bream gear. Throw small plastics and hardbodies around and you never know what you'll catch, just watch out for stonefish. Dont walk in the water :o

Exmouth
Been up there 3 times so far, havent caught many fish land based but im heading up again this september to try again, we had some sucsess walking up towards the navy pier at noght on the run in tide caught baby spango's and a stonker catfish so the bigger fish must be around. I had the girlfriend and my sister with me so we pretty much picked where we would fish and stayed in one spot, I think your chances improve if you can move around and cover more ground. Best of luck mate, pilgramunna is an awesome spot lots of occys though oh also second wapet creek had awesome fun catching small trevally, baracouta and queenies on poppers and skin deep halco scorpions
