Exmouth for kids

 Hey all

Up in Exmouth atm and just wondering if anyone knows of

any good land based areas to take the kids? Tried the marina and Learmonth jetty but all they've caught so far is a sun tan.

cheers

500m exclusion zone, but can still walk up from Bundegi and get Gt and spangles.

jetty (or where it used to be).  Fish the channel out to the reef on sunset.  Town beach is always good for whiting.

And the old Learmonth jetty

Haven't been for a few years but was a great spot for squid and whiting and yes you can fish the beach near the jetty but don't get too close.   used to fish the point on the other side of the jetty for big queenies on an outgoing tide but the current rips through there

Occies

Fri, 2020-09-25 13:35

Heading North out of town, there are some tracks that take you to the water. At low tide, you can walk these rocky flats and pick up a few occies sitting on the rocks. Take a broom handle and the kids will be entertained for hours looking for them. Good luck.

Takes you down to the flats, great great fun hunting occies.....the kids will love it (no bare feet though)

5 mile

Head to 5 mile, look for the sand areas between the reef. Running sinker with squid on lead up to high, hang on for spangly fun.
