Exmouth, LBF spots and tips
Submitted by JacobG22 on Wed, 2015-07-01 18:12
There hasn't been much written on here about LBF in Exmouth at all, I'm headed up there in a couple of weeks, obviously with no boat
just seeing if there is anybody out there willing to give me a few ideas on where to go, and what to expect. I fish mostly lures. HB's and SP's. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

First stop I suggest you fish
First stop I suggest you fish around Bundegi, Right next to the sanctuary zone, north side.Fishing maps available in town at tackle shops. Wade out if low tide...usually heaps of Queenies here. Once you've tired of that, go for a drive along past the light house stopping at all the access points along the way. Make some notes to refer too ,so you can go back and try later. Endless options here, all worth a try. You can bait cast or cast lures. Great place to explore and try different things.

Learmonth
Hey mate.
Have had some good fun around Learmonth Jetty on high tide. some big trevally come through and have seen mackerel and the odd shark too.
Also blue salmon and queenies. Similar story to Bundegi but had more luck at Learmonth.
The marina can also produce, either side of the rock groynes.
On high tide you can also get some good spanglies and the odd baldie off the rocks around the tip of the cape (wreck, Lighthouse beach, etc.)
Good luck!

Hey mate not much of a tip
Hey mate not much of a tip but we had a blast catching good size queenies off the marina rocks, there was a bait school hugging the rocks so we kept forcing them out by slapping the water with our plugs, once they left the sanctuary of the rock groyne they would get smashed by the queenies again and again and our lures were in and amongst the bust ups
my time up there was limited as was my vehicle availability so couldn't dommuch but still got into some good fish, love that place!
The art of fishing consists of casting, winding, trolling and jigging
while freezing, sweating, swatting and swearing.

i had some sucess at the mildura wreck on the tip, on a turing tide from low to high with a big of wave action. managed to get a couple of nice spango's on 5 inch Sp's with the occasional queenie and trev wandering through. some say walking from the parking bay at the tip (follow the dirt road to the right at the end of the road) and walk down the bay back towards the naval base and flick some stick baits, there have been some big trevs off there before.
