Family trip to Skyshow and Rotto-no fishing at all!
Not much of a report but here it is anyway!
Came back from work after 5 weeks at sea going Dampier, near Timor, to Darwin, back to near Timor then Dampier and vessel up on the slip-home 21st Jan.
Had to do something but we had limited time as the school holidays were nearly gone.
Loaded the car/boat and family and headed down the coast to Lancelin then Perth, via Jurien where my oldest did a parachute jump!
Launched near Freo, and with the more than generous help of FW'er Fuzzy79 providing the parking and more-launched on Australia Day and cruised up to Sth Perth and anchored up to watch the skyshow.
Kids just played on the inflatables, dodging the pissed 2.5hp inflatable tender captains
Slept 7 of us on the Cruisecraft that night, sou easterly came up so moved down near Wesley College to sleep. Had a couple of clowns come whizzing around us but gone before I could say anything.
Funny in the morning as the Wesley College rowers came out and around us "morning sir" "morning sir"!
Was a bit of a squeeze but not a squash, good old Cruisecraft Outsider!
On the way back up river next day, we spotted to of these inflatables blown up on the rocks, middle daughter trooper that she is, jumped over, swam ashore and retrieved them-kids used them non stop at Rotto!
Just cruised around for a couple of days, missus and girls had a campsite but the weather was forecast to go to shit so managed to snag a cabin for last 2 days.
Lucky as it pissed down, mini tsunami, boat got hit by someone else who "forgot" to mention it when I helped him off the beach-twice.
Sunday morning, packed up and left at 7.30, in the river at 8, Alex (Fuzzy79) brought the car down to the ramp and we were rolling by 8.30.
Unfortunately the rolling stopped at Joondalup Shopping Centre, where the girls "had to" go shopping for a couple of hours...
Then got a call to head back to work 3 1/2 weeks early, cant say no so straight home unpack, repack and to the airport-at sea again...

Good move going to Wesley. We toughed it out, and regretted it in the morning.

Did you try taking your boat
Did you try taking your boat into Pinkies beach while you were there. I am heading over in a couple of weeks to camp, but I've always used the trolley from Bathurst beach. Just wondering whether I can get into Pinkys and save a bit of time
