Father and Son Effort

They may not be monsters but it was he first time the boy and I went out alone and the first time he did all of the fishing unaided. I am so proud of him and am looking forward to our next outing. He was using a Daiwa Catalina egg beater reel and a Demon Blood rod. We were in about 40metres of water.

nice one mate, how old is the young fella? Mines bit over 3 now and keen as mustard for a fish but not quite old enough to do it himself yet...

The boy is not long 7 and been coming out on the boat since he was about three (ocean) and 9 months in the river. We use to take the bassinet in the boat on the river. Both of my kids have been out on boats from young ages but they use to be more interested in eating treats and drinking fizzy drink. It was the first time it was just the boy and I so he actually got to fish instead of having three or four rods over the side and getting tangled and then hearing the wife say it's to hard so the kids missed out.
