Faulty Towers off Gracetown but brought home the dhuies!

Another great day out off Gracetown. 4 dhuies (14kg, 10kg, 10kg and 8kg), 1 small wobbey (released), 2 nannygais, 1 harlequin and 6 cod. Not bad for a small crew. A great start to the day with both deckies falling in the drink ... shame no one else was there to see it. Shayne and Dean (Deckie Dean not skipper Dean) both started the day with wet butts! Sounds like an episode of Faulty Towers LOL

Getting ready
One slipped over at the boatramp and the other one grabbed a 20lt drum of water, not realising how heavy it was, and it pulled her off the back of the boat into the water! Shame I wasn't there to see it (is my daughter!). She was laughing about it by the time we all got down there (I was picking up customers in our courtesy bus in Busselton). She has a good sense of humour!

Not sure but think
Not sure but think it has dropped about 2 degrees in the last 2 weeks. Shayne said it was nice and warm at 6am.

You seem to be gettin g amongst them dhuies on every trip. Do they die down a bit as the temp drops or do you get them all year round.?. seem to be hearing about more of them lately

They are pretty quiet this time of year
We are not commercially fishing for them at the moment, leaving them for the charters. They are thin on the ground off Gracetown in more isolated spots at this time of year, but we have enough ground to fish to keep our customers happy.
Has been a great dhuie season up and down the coast this year - probably best we have seen and heard about for 35 years.
