Fellow Crankers?(Breamers)

Hi guys just wondering who else on this site enjoys throwing hard bodied lures(shads, cranks, scorpions and so on) around targeting bream and flathead in the Swan. Would like to know who else out there enjoys this type of fishing as much as i do and would maybe help each other with in depth reports.  Just thought i'd put a heads up.

fish for bream every week, love chucking hards around on the flats, finding cranka cranks, sx-40s, megabass smolts, zippies and the likes being the best of the pick in the swan for me. In my local area I mainly chuck around vibes and placcies with good results :)

might see you around the river sometime and look forward to seeing some of your bream posts. Are you land-based or from a boat/kayak?

cheers, Tom.

Troy fuller-dont give up on them mate, i remember when i started using them i thought a was never going to get a fish let alone a hit, then all of a sudden it just happens bang bang bang. then your hooked

aussie breamer-i have actually read a few of your posts a while back and see that you are right into your river fishing. VIBES-One of the artificials a havent cracked 100%. I've tried the Damiki and TT's with not much luck at all. Would love the master them. I'm landbased and its the best way to do it.

I love my little hard bods.

Sun, 2012-06-03 22:02

I love my little hard bods. for bream its the HRT small fry, flatties the sx40, but it depends on how deep water your fishing really.

winter probably isnt the best time but just walking on the canning flats is enjoyable and i'll usually end up with a few small bream and a flattie or two.

just be confident and give them a little twitch, and you gotta be vigilant for when they hit, usually they'll tap it and come back for it, just a light lift of the rod is usually enough to set the hooks.

I am another breamer and had

Mon, 2012-06-04 12:10

I am another breamer and had success with both placcies and HB. Having said that all these took place during the warmer months and haven't tried since the onset of cooler weather.

Love the feeling of wading the warm water and casting for breams.  Caught most of my breams in swan with little or not luck at Canning.

Keen to meet up with some of the breamers for a bash and exchange info and tips. Feel free to send me a PM.

I dont mind a Bream sesh in the Swan/Canning, I have had a fair bit of luck with on the hard bodies and plastics and would always be up for a cheeky bream sesh. Flick us a PM if your keen for a fish
