hey not fishing related but im to angry to care. was just at riverton forum and trying to get out of the carpark. the car infront of me decided they would reverse backwards HARD. next thing you know ive got a nice hole in my bumber from a towball, and lady is trying to tell me it was my fault because i didnt see her reverse lights and shouldove moved, next thing i know she floors it and drives off leaving me there cursing. the car was a silver navara/hilux looking thing with p plates and a little blonde girl prolly about 20 driving. if any one sees the car or hears anythign about this please take down there license plates and pm me them as she floored it before i could get my pen. you know wat the funny thing is THERES NOTHING I CAN DO not happy

If she's a local you'll probably see her again. I shop there heaps and will keep an eye out. Aways checking out other 4x4s anyway, especially if little blonde things are driving. Bummer she didn't stop and give you her number.

Its very hard sorting stuff

Tue, 2007-12-18 12:42

Its very hard sorting stuff like that out even if she did give you her number. proving who's at fault is difficult.
Hope the damage isn't too much.

Put some prawn heads in her hub caps. Drives them mad trying to work out where the smell is coming from

Hi Ya,

Firstly, I'd be contacting the police as it is illegal to drive away from the scene of an accident (however, in the case of a car park, I'm not sure whether that applies as many other normal road rules don;t apply in car parks).

Secondly, if I understand the law correctly, in the event of asn accident, any person going in reverse is automatically at fault.

Cheers.

Same here

A few weeks ago I was dropping my eldest daughter off at School and was sitting at the exit driveway waiting for a break in the traffic when a lady drove right into the back of me. She was apparently waving goodbye to her own daughter and wasn't watching where she was going. She was very apologetic, (unlike your culprit) and has been very understanding in getting the quotes for repair etc, but If you think I was fuming when I dropped that fish in the Dropzone video I was similarly silent with steam visibly coming out of my ears when she hit my pride and joy.

By the way, it wasn't the pajero she hit, but the 3.0RB Liberty.

Cheers

Absolutely Marc

Best car I have owned in a long time. Not much compares to the blend of raw power and luxury you get with the RB. Jet Black with 19inch rims and no discernable badging, I know what's under the bonnet but unless you are a connoisuer of Subaru's everyone else thinks its a nice family car with flash wheels.

Hi Ya,

Have to agree.  Son as a WRX (1996) and daughter recently bought herself a Nov 2005 2.5lt manual Liberty.  Both very nice to drive, but I know which I prefer LOL.

Cheers.

Bad thing is in carparks

Tue, 2007-12-18 13:43

Bad thing is in carparks there is no real law to prosecute.

My dad reversed into another lady reversing, when speaking to the police we were told it is more of an honor system as it is private land. Usually 50/50 is paid by both drivers.

In this instance it may depend on where the actual cars were situated when the accident happened.
If she was across the boundry and onto goverment land she is leaving the scene of an accident and failing to provide details to the others iparty involved.

Hi Ya,

If your dad was reversing, and the other driver was reversing, and given the person in reverse is automativally at fault, does that mean neither driver is at fault 'cause the cancel each other out or does it mean they are both 100% to blame?  LOL

Cheers.

Saturday arvo I was fishing for squid at Mews rd freo at the end next to the freo rescue ramp. When I got back to the car the missus told me a bloke in an F250, Silver, with Exmouth Game fishing Club plates(which I got), opened his door and chipped the paint of me car. When he realised my missus was in the car, he apologised and went on his way to the appartments there. When I got back I got his number plates BUT I dunno what I should do? Can I get him to pay for the cost of fixing the chip or would it be too much of a hastle. There are too many F#$% wits on the roads these days that don't give a crap about much at all. They need a belting!! Women are the worst! Especially in 4 wds.
Adam if I give you the number plate, could you track his name please.(if you can) I'll PM you it. cheers .........Feel the force.........
