FIFO airlines

Well I know a lot of guys on here work FIFO, so I'm interested to know a few things partly for study and partly for my own knowledge:
What airline do you fly with to get to your mine? (more interested in the smaller regional and charter companies)
What is the destination airport?
And finally, do any of you fly out of jandakot as a hub to get to your place of employment?
Cheers guys, look forward to hearing the answers.

Skippers, network aviation,
Skippers, network aviation, maroomba, cobham, skywest to name a few. most if not all fly from the perth domestic airport. Most minesites have their own airstrip, some fly to a regional one close by then bus to the minesite.

I've flown, Skywest, Qantas
I've flown, Skywest, Qantas link and Cobham. Cobham are pretty good to Barrow. A few times to Learmonth and Karraths then choppers to the rigs (Bristow) on the Super Puma's.

Remember Ansett?
I do , up to Arglye with them for years, best , friendly staff, always felt safe with them and no incidents
in about 8years of flying with them.
Bloody disgrace how they were treated and went belly up with no fault of there own.
After that Quantas, for 2 years, with a engine blow. lots of small breakdowns and even a navigation error
for good measure, and then finally skywest who were good but not great.
Drive in /drive out now so its "quadfisher airlines" all the way, ( the hostie is a real dog!)

My father flew for Ansett for
My father flew for Ansett for over ten years doing Argyle runs so no doubt you would've been on some of his operations. When he joined, he had no intention of ever leaving. He reckons he's never worked for any company in any industry that treated him better.

Alliance airlines Perth <-->
Alliance airlines Perth <--> Karratha. I believe they just do charters for mines including SINO Cape Preston. Used to be fokker f-100 now they seem to have upsized to an old unmarked 737.
Use to Fly Network Aviation to Nifty copper. Brazilia turbo prop, from Perth to their own dirt strip.

That 737-400 is ex-Jetconnect
That 737-400 is ex-Jetconnect (qantas new zealand) and is now operated by a company called Airwork on behalf of alliance. Excellent aircraft!

Yep that's an older 737
Yep that's an older 737 manufactured around the mid 80's. They're up to 737 900NG's now. Heading to the US next year via Dubai so the leg from there to NY will be on an A380 looking forward to that.

Alliance Airlines - Perth
Alliance Airlines - Perth domestic to Karratha and return. Alliance Airlines = old plane + always delayed on the fly out day
Alliance run both the F-100 and the 737 on different days. Seems mainly charter for Citic Pacific Mining (Sino Iron Ore)

and yep! Delayed ATLEAST 30mins getting home every flight. Barimunya dosen't have a radar system set up so if theres any low lying cloud we have to wait around or head to west angeles airport or Newman! But on the upside, always home safely :-)

Skywest from Busso to West
Skywest from Busso to West Angelas flying in F100's. Good speed, quite comfy and always a good feed, apart from last Tuesday when the plane had a flat tyre at Busso and we never left until midday. And the virgin frequent flyer points are growing very quickly too.
cheers
