fin-nor 9500?

 Hey,

Im thinking about buying a fin nor 9500 but I'm just wandering if it would do the job when ballooning and catching sharks on land? And also what rod would best suit the reel?

 I have a 8500 with an extra spool that I would get rid of if your keen. Has only seen water max half a dozen times.

For the price

Great reel for the price, i have the 9500 and the 5500. They are a bit heavy to be casting all day with, but are very tough and should last a life time.

My mate just bought the 8500 & 4500 from site sponser Hayway Marine and got a great deal .

I use the 9500 on a custom 8ft Sabre but am looking for a beach rod myself that can handle the job .

 Would you recommend this reel for catching sharks/ballooning?

Yep

Ballooning, shark .

I went out and bought one (thanks Tackle Shack ) after watching my mate try to break the 8500 at Steep Point. The reel blitzed it, went thru hell and came home without a scratch.

Money for value +++++++.

 Great reels for the price,

 Great reels for the price, tough as nails with a strong drag. Would do the job no worries on sharks but they suck for casting. Also pretty bulky. My Saragosa 10k is smaller than my fin-nor offshore 6500.

 they are awsome reels. ive had mine for a year n half and have put ut to task from the cliffs beach rivermouth. never had any problems with it! with 30kg of max drag theres not much you wont stop. perfect for kalbarri area! . ive matched it with a shimano beast master 15ft surf and can give it a good hoik! out there. not sure where the crap casting comment came from! ill be getting the 8500 next.
