I have one that I actualy have only used a few times so can't honestly comment but it seems nice to me... also with 60 lbs of drag it should be able to stop submarines.... I paid $300 ish for mine too although that was in Karartha so I would expect them to be a bit cheaper in peth.... go on buy it you only live once!

yes i am a proud owner of the fin nor offshore range. i have a fin nor 9500 and hasent let me down when it comes to catching big rays (80kg) stopping them within 100m and it"s been pretty good to me catching mulloway and sharks. my mates also have the same reel as yours and swear by them as well. wouldnt have any other reel for my type of fishing

i can attest also, i have a fin nor offshore spin as well as a offshore overhead and they are both great reels. never had a problem and have done quite a bit of different fishing with each type.

Good value for money
I picked up my 9500 about a year or so ago for $200 brand new. Only use it for LB fishing but have hauled in numerous large rays and few sharks here and there.
Pros -
Cons -
At the end of the day it's a solid reel at the bottom end of the market. If you are looking for something to stop big fish I don't think you will find a better option in that price range (happy to be corrected). For $150 you really can't go wrong.

hey ryan - yeah i run a penn spinfisher on my surf rod has stood up fine to big mulloway and for the price is pretty good i reckon, mainly what the offshore is for on the boat , in case my main setup has a problem or for guests.
