Finally its gone

Well since mid November we have had an excavator posing as a channel marker in to the Fascine at Carnarvon.

After many attempts and broken cables its finally been dragged out of the water. For the last couple of days two excavators and two big winches mounted onshore have finally dragged it to shore.  The excavators had to dig around it while the winches had strain on to get it to shift and slowly they managed to get it moving.

Sorry no pics of the job in progress only one of the ones put up before in the original thread.

Will see if I can get a couple of close up pics tomorrow before they cart it away

.

Poor fishes have had their artificial reef taken from them, used to see them sheltering from the current around it.
