Finnally got myself a kayak :D

Finnally got my kayak guys. $499 from bcf with a back rest (they have just bought these in joondalup BCF) and bought a $40 paddle too. I am soooooo happy now i cant wait to go down jurien bay and have a good week of fishing ahhhh. well thanks for all your help guys and i am hoping to buy some safety gear if its compulsory.

Nice will be visible on the water that colour,,thats probally the most important thing with all the boats whizzing around,, (being visible)

You can get all the compulsory gear from BCF as well,as discussed in your other thread,,

BTW > Do you like squidding ? if you do it will not stay yellow for long,lol as i have found out with my yellow yak,lol

You can get a Hobie Outback or Revolution for around $2500 and a lot less for 2nd hand as well(less than 2 grand),,most folks start with paddle yaks then upgrade in the future to peddles,,

 

The main thing is get a foot in the door and get any suitable yak,,its a life changeing event for the better,,

well done, now to put it in action and get some fisj. just remember , until you get your confidence in it i would suggest you stay in close to shore as in swimming distance just in case of a capsize or better still , practice getting back into it without any gear on it out in a depth you cant touch the bottom

yeah, im just going to stay like 100m at first maybe less then more gradually myabe 50m a time and yeah. also i practised getting back onto it in my pool ahaha because its pretty deep.
