first barra
well headed out at 5am this morning with a couple of guys from work and things started off slow flicking lures into the river we started off with bright coloured barra classic lures and nothing was tempted to bite........overcast day so we changed over to darker coloured lures and bang it was on .......7 fish landed with the biggest being 51cm......my first barra and i gotta say...it was a buzz?
we had probably another 20-25 hookups where the hooks were spat out but what a great fish to see in action. All fish were released in a recovery pond and then swam off fully recovered.........great day was had by all ...........now the challenge is on for the 1 metery!!
and Honsu it was caught on the catana 682 rod and Okuma salina 40 reel you recommended for me. It was no effort getting fish in on that combo....thanks Oceanside Tackle!
PJ......one happy fisherman today!
