First time dam fishing

;Great day out yesterday catching silver perch and what we think are Carp on atomic hardz and ecogear sx40s at a private dam Quick questions are both smaller fish carp? And are these good size perch?

Yea mate the carp were on lures which i thought was quite uncommon?

Uncommon more that people
Uncommon more that people dont use this as a method because they have to be pretty hungry usually to take minnow hard body type lures. Flys that imitate insects or even bread work well. Even the humble fish tank goldfish can be quiet predatory, i threw in some Gambusia with some of my big goldfish(20cm) and by morning they had eaten all the gambusia.

3 carp
Yeah 3 carp were caught on 3 different hardbodys there were alot of gambusia in the dam so they may even be feeding on them?
