Just got back from first trip out to the islands and it was unbelievable!

We fished the Southern group for some shallow water action for some nice spangles up to 5 kilo, heaps of big pinkies up to 10 kg in 10 mtrs on softies and bait, the pinkie population is amazingly healthy! Everywhere, any depth. some nice baldies and trout. I got a big dhuie on a red mullet mcarthy plus the other 5 dhuies for the trip easy peasy.

Pulled 2 pots for 30 crays in 7 mtrs water( my pots!) scored quite a few 15 kg mackies trolling and saw a pod of dolphins heading north with a couple of big marlin leaping along with them but couldn't keep up with them.

This was the first trip just grazing over some favorite spots so can't wait to search a bit further. This year is a cracker . The trip up was pretty good but a bit bumpy. Got some nice dollies off jurien fad and turtledove looks to be insane with some spannies,a big gold spot rev and a hookup on a black which hit matts small redhead diver with tiny hooks!

Get up there guys and don't miss out on a once in a blue moon year! I'm thinking about doing some group day trips mid week or 2 dayers as I'm free tues and wed. 5 grand for a 2 day midweek trip.???
