Fishing among the snapping geckos

Fishing doesn't alway result in catching fish - for me, at least. But fishing is always a worthwhile experience. This video shares a trip where a couple of boats went to Cahills Crossing in the Northern Territory. We didn't catch any fish but did see a barra about 80cm caught. For us though, the real experience was when the tide started to run hard and the crocs joined the frey. At one point, we couldn't get a lure in the water because there were so many crocs.

Its a size thing. The smaller the croc the more timid they are. but at Cahill's Crossing they are more focused on the fish. Boats are not too much of a concern to them. Normally Crocs are really territorial but at Cahill's, their territorial instincts are secondary to feeding on the mullet!!
